2 Year Warranty Terms & Conditions

Thank you for choosing a product from the Nordpeis outdoor living range.

Your appliance has been put through a series of demanding tests to make sure it performs not only reliably but exceptionally. Your new appliance comes with a Two-Year Warranty as standard which starts from the date of purchase. Please retain your proof of purchase as this will be required in the event of any Warranty claim.

The warranty is non-transferable.

The Two-Year Warranty is for defects in manufacturing only.

If placed on wooden decking, we advise covering the floor around it with a non-combustible hearth (minimum 50cm wide).

The materials selected for this product are intended to keep maintenance free for many years, however you must follow the maintenance advice within the instruction manual.

Warranty Exclusions and Limitations:

The product is for outdoor use only. It is exposed to the weather and damp/corrosion wear and tear is to be expected. Maintenance will be required to preserve the appearance of the appliance.
Concrete may be liable to surface crazing. Whilst not a fault, if finish is not desired, repairs can be made with light/acrylic filler.

No warranty is extended to consumable parts which are subject to normal wear and tear during the warranty period. Parts that will require replacement in connection with normal usage, such parts include, but are not limited to cooking grill, wind breaker.
The wood used in the optional shelves are made from Kebony, which will last for years without further maintenance. Depending on weather exposure, it will slowly develop a silvery grey patina.

NOTE: Kebony® is a natural product which contains natural stains. This stain will be washed off with rain before the wood has gained its patina. This may result in discoloration and staining of the concrete while the wood is “new”. Any staining or discoloration will gradually fade and disappear as the stain oxidizes. The wood shelves should either be removed or be covered with our dedicated covers (optional accessory) during rain until the wood has gained some patina. Eventual staining from the wood will not be covered by the warranty unless these instructions have been followed.

The product should only be used with natural firewood or BBQ coal. Chemicals often present in construction wood, driftwood and wooden fire-briskets can pose a serious threat to your health if used to BBQ. They also release harmful gasses into the environment and may incur damage to the cast iron firepan.

The warranty is based on normal domestic use only.

The Nordpeis Warranty does not cover:

a) Any surface deterioration affected by exposure to external factors including but not limited to, chemicals, humidity, moss, and salt.

b) The paint on the cast iron firepan will be affected by surface scratches and abrasions, therefore the warranty does not cover rust, oxidation, blemishes, fading, or defects caused by the product being stored in a damp, uncovered environment.

c) Damage resulting from installation and usage where the appliance has not been installed or used in accordance with the Nordpeis installation and operation instructions, or if the installation does not confirm to local building, fire, and safety regulations.

d) Damage resulting from poor maintenance.

e) The warranty does not cover damage caused by over-firing of the appliance or use of incorrect fuels.

f) Damage caused by unauthorised modifications, use or repair.

g) Consequential loss (to the extend permitted by law) relating to other associated products that have not been supplied by Nordpeis.

h) Removal and re-installations costs.

Repaired or replaced products are covered only for the remainder of the original warranty period.

If you should ever wish to make a Warranty claim because of a product fault or defect, you must inform your retailer within a reasonable amount of time, usually this is within 14 days from the date on which the fault or defect first became apparent. If the product fault or defect is notified after 14 days from the date on which the fault or defect became apparent, Nordpeis cannot accept any liability for events or issues which arise after the 14-day period or which are caused or increased by the lack of notification which therefore prevented action being taken to restrict or eliminate any consequences arising from the fault or defect at an earlier date.

To progress any Warranty claims for damaged appliance/parts, paint or any visual defects, photographic evidence must be supplied. Failure to provide photographic evidence may result in the claim being delayed or refused.

In the event of a product fault occurring during the Warranty period, Nordpeis will send the appropriate component or goods necessary to rectify the fault, free of charge.

Nothing in the Warranty shall make Nordpeis liable for any or special, incidental, or consequential damages, injury to persons or property, or any other consequential loss beyond the consumer’s statutory rights. The liability on these issues is covered by Nordpeis Terms and Conditions of Sale.

Nordpeis total liability extends only to the purchase price paid for the goods, except where such a limitation is prohibited by statute. Nordpeis, in the event of a Warranty claim, reserve the right either to replace the goods in question or to refund the purchase price of the goods.

The Nordpeis Warranty does not affect your statutory rights. In the event of any conflict of information, the warranty details provided on the website shall prevail.
